Dandy Jack

The only way for techno music to make its way into South America was for South America to embrace it.

Jorge González

Martin Schopf, also known as Dandy Jack, is a pioneer of electronic music and one of the leading figures in the global underground scene. Born in Chile and active since the late 1980s, he has built an international career based in Berlin, Geneva, and Santiago, developing a distinctive, borderless musical style.

Known for his intense, improvisation-driven live sets, he combines rhythmic complexity, raw energy, and a deeply organic approach to electronic sound. His releases on influential labels such as Perlon, Fax Records, and Rather Interesting have established him as a key figure in contemporary experimental electronic music.

Beyond the stage, Dandy Jack is a scene-builder: a creator of platforms, a catalyst for collaborations, and a driving force behind projects that connect artists worldwide. Among these are Ruta5Label and Disco Sour Machine, a series of events that originated in Berlin and brings together musicians from around the globe to explore experimentation, connection, and live performance.
